Utilitarian Items

In spite of the remoteness and isolation, feudal households like Ogyen Choling could acquire utilitarian and luxury items from across the world, especially China, British India as well as from Europe. These items were most probably acquired during trading trips and pilgrimages and carried from India or from Tibet. It is also likely that some were received as gifts. In addition to some samples of the earthen ware from the region the exhibits include Chinese and European porcelain and Burmese lacquer ware.
