Store room for bamboo and rattan ware
This room was a store for all kinds of utilitarian items. In a subsistence economy with no access to purchasable goods on a regular basis it was necessary to have a stock of utensils and other daily necessities. Baskets, bamboo and rattan barks collected from its subtropical estates were brought to the house and kept handy. The thick rattan ropes were used for pulling down and hoisting the prayer flag, making scaffolding on the buildings when painting and for harvesting the empty honey combs of the wild bees in the winter.
